The Purn Prakash Trust envisages health as a state of holistic well being. The idea of ‘Swasti’ was conceived keeping in mind the utmost importance of health and it’s integral role in the overall well being of an individual. The focus of ‘Swasti’ has been to promote health-seeking behaviour and enhancing awareness regarding nutrition, hygiene, sanitation and common ailments. The project has been designed keeping in mind the integrative approach towards health care with services encompassing the life - span approach. The trust has been instrumental in providing comprehensive health care services to individuals belonging to the marginalised sections of the society residing in remote rural areas. The Trust has so far organised more than 150 medical health camps addressing the healthcare needs of approximately 30,000 patients. The trust has organised various health promotion activities in educational institutions addressing issues pertaining to the health of adolescents. The trust has also offered free medical services on the 9th of every month, as a part of the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India which is aimed at providing assured, comprehensive and quality antenatal care.
