INTRODUCTION

Purn Prakash is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-religious and non-political organization. It originated in the year 2015 with the primary objective of working in the areas of health care, education and promotion of indigenous culture. Driven by its primary objectives the trust aims to provide competent health care services to the underprivileged strata of the society, deliver sustainable and innovative educational and vocational opportunities for the marginalized sections and facilitate the promotion of rich cultural tapestry of India. The trust attains its objectives by pursuing comprehensive programmes and organizing social outreach activities such as customized health camps, awareness campaigns, workshops and talks. The overall vision of the trust is to meaningfully impact the lives of a wide array of marginalized people thereby contributing to their welfare and overall betterment in their quality of life.
The trust has been instrumental in providing comprehensive health services to individuals belonging to the marginalized sections of the society residing in the remote rural areas. The Trust has so far organized more than 150 medical health camps addressing the healthcare needs of approximately 30,000 patients. Unlike a general curative health camp, these camps have been successful in promoting health seeking behavior and enhancing awareness regarding nutrition, hygiene, sanitation and common ailments.

Dr. Priyamvada Tomar is a gynaecologist and infertility specialist. Dr. Tomar has been providing medical facilities through her practice in Shamli (Uttar Pradesh) for more than two decades. She the been the Director of Genesis Women’s Clinic and IVF Centre, Noida (Uttar Pradesh). Dr. Tomar was born in a family where patriotism was an integral part of her upbringing as she saw her elders determinedly work towards the betterment of the nation. Her family members gave paramount value to working for others and therefore as a consequence of always being amidst dedicated nationalists she also aspired to work for bettering the society. With the goal of working for the progress of the disadvantaged sections of the society Dr. Tomar formed the Purna Prakash Trust.
